VS understanding of "Land of Thousand Smiles"

Is was the last day of our 3Days 2Nights trip in Phuket,

Along the journey from the pier to Phuket Airport when asked the Life after Tsunami in Phuket!
"It was my mom who calls me back to Bangkok to celebrate my birthday the day before Tsunami! You have to believe Mother’s instinct!" said Anni our Phuket tour guide from SPN Travel.

"It is more than horrible; no words can express what happen here, peoples here still suffering from the after-shock!"

"The whole Bhangra Street along Patong Beach now you have seen is totally newly built!"

"Many of my friend suicide due to lost of their friends, their loves, their families and pounding debt!”... (Anni was suffocate with tear in her eyes)

Continued with her Thai slang and sunny cheering smile Ms. Anni said: "BUT we lives and go on...SOMETHING LIKE THAT!"

“Why not I sing to you a song from my province…,
This song convey a message that to carry with a smile even when facing the toughest times… and it sound likes this...” then Anni begin to sing, Som and her two other colleagues sing along; though we couldn’t understand the words of the song but their voices moved everyone heart in the coach. Deeply inside!

By the end of Anni’s song, as gratefulness, I shout to everyone in the coach “Why not we show our gratitude of LOVE from Malaysia by Singing “Rasa Sayang” (Our most popular folk song to express our love to peoples)

Without delaying the whole coach started singing "Rasa Sayang Hey... Rasa Sayang, Sayang Hey...” and there on everyone sing along many many songs.

Although there isn’t a word spoken about Tsunami thereafter during our journey to Airport but our faces are filled with Smiles. Smiles with many mixing emotions!

Thailand was once known as “Land of Thousand Smiles” and Now I would proclaim Thailand as “Land with a Millions Smiles”…with counted the smiles that we giving back!

A Day at the orphanest

"ME PLAY!" said the mentally challenged boy.

"Sure," I Said

I threw him the ball.

"Yeah! ME CATCH!" he screamed.

"Okay, now throw it back," I said.

The boy threw it back. I caught it and dove underwater.

"You don't have to do this," said the boy's mother.

"No, it's fun," I said.

"Yeah go under' gain!" yelled the boy. So I dove underwater.

We continued playing for half an hour. When the boy went away he had the biggest smile I've ever seeen on his face. This small experience made me feel normal. I thought that's what anyone would do. A boy wanted to play, so i did. This made the boy feel good so it made me feel good. But after that people stared at me.

One boy even come up to me and said, "Why were you playing with the retardo?!"

I said nothing and walked away.
